Sculpt, shape & tone your body with Total Barre™

Total Barre™ Pilates is a programme of exercise that combines elements of ballet, pilates, dance, cardio and strength training for a dynamic and varied workout that will help to tone, sculpt and reshape your body.


The class will lengthen your limbs, enhance your posture, firm your glutes, tighten your waistline and help you to de-stress. If you love the grace of ballet, the strength of pilates and the energy of music, then this class is for you!


The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Isometrics are a series of small, controlled movements that are done while keeping your body still. 


Each class takes you through a flow of high-energy sequences that incorporates the use of the barre, small hand weights and mat work, alongside a soundtrack of contemporary music. A typical class involves about 30 minutes of barre work and 30 minutes of floor work.


Celine is a qualified Mat Pilates Instructor and has recently gained a certificate in teaching STOTT PILATES® Total Barre™. The class is suitable for all levels although a basic level of fitness may be required for some of the more challenging standing exercises.

What is Total Barre™ Pilates?


Total Barre™ Pilates combines elements of ballet, pilates, dance, cardio and strength training that will tone, sculpt and reshape your body.


A Total Barre™ Pilates class includes:

  • Each class incorporates the use of a ballet barre, mat work and floor work using small hand weights
  • A sequence of small isometric movements are used alongside the barre to provide a dynamic workout
  • Working out to energizing, contemporary music
  • Approximately 30 minutes of barre work and 30 minutes of floor work
  • Combines simple yet graceful ballet moves together with strength training movements and stretches
  • Floor work uses a variety of Pilates exercises such as plank, the double leg stretch, criss-cross & scissors
  • Contemporary music is played alongside each class to help keep you energized and motivated!

Level: This class is suitable for all levels. Ideal for those with previous experience of pilates, ballet, yoga or body conditioning classes.
Cost: £8.50 drop-in/£7 per session when booked termly. 

Info: You will need to complete a Medical Form before joining a class. Mats available but if you have your own mat please bring it with you!
